Swimming For Top Spot

Canada’s top collegiate swimmers descended upon Victoria’s Commonwealth Pool for the 2023 USports Swimming National Championships in February 2023. Although the pool played host to the iconic 1994 Commonwealth Games, our team had to get innovative for covering an event in this venue for the modern viewer. For this event, we installed overhead cameras above the water, a first at the historic Commonwealth Place. Our gimbal camera also captured many of the heartfelt and joyous moments on the deck as athletes celebrated their achievements amongst their coaches and peers. Many of the faces and names that leave their mark at this event will go on to one day represent Canada at the Olympic Games.
